Equipment
The CSCIR has searched the globe to bring the most advanced and innovative technologies for SCI recovery to the center. A summary of some of the equipment used in our program includes:

Exoskeletons
Exoskeletons are wearable bionic suits that enable individuals with lower extremity weakness, to stand and walk. Learn more about the CSCIR's exoskeletons here.

Therastride
Therastride is a body weight supported system over a treadmill, for intense locomotor training. Locomotor training is designed for the recovery of walking for individuals with central nervous system injury or disease.

Redcord
Redcord is a unique and effective concept for functional training. Carefully designed training using body weight and slings is at the core of the concept.

Whole Body Vibration (WBV)
WBV is a training method that uses low amplitude, low frequency, mechanical stimulation that produces greater muscle activation and helps increase bone density and build strength.

Bioness L300
The L300 Foot Drop System is a revolutionary medical device that helps people regain mobility and independence. The system's gait sensor adapts to changes in walking speed and terrain, allowing the user to walk easily on stairs, grass and carpet.

Bioness H200
The H200 Wireless Hand Rehabilitation System stimulates the appropriate nerves and muscles of the forearm and hand, and helps to reeducate weak or paralyzed muscles.

RT300 Leg and Arm
The RT300 leg and arm cycle utilizes functional electrical stimulation (FES). FES enables muscles to work and perform activities even though the muscles may be weak or paralyzed.

LiteGait
The LiteGait is a gait training device that simultaneously controls weight bearing, posture, and balance over a treadmill or over ground. It is designed to assist patients with a wide range of impairments and functional levels.

Second Step
Second step is a gait harness system that allows for safe and therapeutic gait training.

Overhead Tracking System
The CSCIR's overhead tracking system provides a safe environment for advanced gait training.

Total Gym
The Total Gym utilizes body resistance to work and strengthen multiple major muscle groups.

Body Weight Supported Elliptical
The RT600 FES stepper can stimulate up to any 16 muscle groups in one/both of your legs and your trunk. It helps increase heart rate and muscle mass.
